Terms of Service
Last updated: July 5, 2026. These terms govern your use of Gather, a family meal planner where one household shares meal plans, recipes, and a shopping list across per-member accounts. By creating an account or using an account added to a household, you agree to these terms.
The service
Gather lets a household plan meals, assign recipes to members and meal slots, track pantry contents, and generate shopping lists. Portion and shopping math is computed by the service; the amounts shown are only as accurate as the recipe and pantry data your household enters.
Accounts and households
- One account belongs to one household at a time. Household editors can invite members and add account-less profiles (e.g. for children) who share the household’s data but do not sign in independently.
- You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for the accuracy of what you or your household enters.
- Editors within a household can create and modify recipes and meal plans; all members can update their own portion settings and pantry/dish status, per the household’s permission model.
Acceptable use
Use Gather only for planning meals for your own household. Don’t attempt to access another household’s data, disrupt the service, or use it for any unlawful purpose.
Content you provide
You retain any rights you have in the recipes and content you add. By adding content, you grant us the limited right to store, process, and display it back to your household in order to run the service. We do not claim ownership of your recipes.
Third-party infrastructure
Gather runs on Supabase for our database, authentication, and file storage. See our Privacy Policy for details on how data is handled.
Availability and changes
Gather is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis, without warranties of any kind. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, and we may update these terms as the product evolves; continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
Termination and deletion
You may stop using Gather at any time. Self-serve account deletion inside the app is coming soon; until then, contact us to delete your data and close your account — see our Privacy Policy for how we handle deletion requests.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Gather and its operators are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service, including reliance on generated portion amounts or shopping lists.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws applicable in the operator’s place of establishment, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer or data-protection rights you have under EU/GDPR law as described in our Privacy Policy.
